Uncle John,

You may remember that you sent me a kit for a pirogue when you were in England about a year and half ago.  Well here are the results.

I have to admit to not using it as much as I would have liked and in fact have begun to feel that the building is almost more fun than the sailing.

This year I added an outrigger, following the design of James Wharrams sailing canoe.

Thanks for the inspiration to do something I have always wanted to do and it still gives me immense satisfaction just to see the pirogue hanging by the garage.
